Southern Gospel from the North
Well,  the Fan Fair is over and the Rudds did not win the
"favorite mixed quartet" or "favorite bass singer". But,
we are honored and humbled to have been a top five
nominee in each category. The winners were The
Singing Echoes and Ed O'Neal of the Dixie Melody Boys.
Both are very deserving and veterans of over 40 years in
the gospel music industry. We congratulate both of
them. Also, thank you to all the folks who were so kind to
cast votes for the Rudds and Jim.
The new recording is almost ready to be released. The
release date is projected to be May 1. I realize that every
time an artist does a new project they think it is the best
yet, but, there is no doubt this one is the absolute best.
The songs are great, the arrangements are fantastic and
the music is superb. I just can't wait to hear the final
production.
We're trying to decide which cut should be our first radio
release. Right now it's a toss up between "The Old Way"
and "They All Knew Me There". If you would like to

June 18-20. The Rudds will be appearing nightly at the
Blue Gate Theater. Come spend three days in the heart
of Amish country and enjoy the wonderful food, crafts
and entertainment. One of the largest flea markets in the
country is open on Tuesday and Wednesday. Plan now
to join us there.
